Modular JavaScript: A Pragmatic JS Book Series - Crowdfunding
JS Book Series
The first book in the Modular JavaScript series is "Practical ES6". Drafts of the first book, Practical ES6, are publicly available under HTML format and under an AsciiDoc source code repository on GitHub.
The Crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, has begun, with a flexible goal of 6000$ (already half raised) and a lot of choices for perks, with a wide range of pledges and rewards.
The series is going to consist five books:
- Practical ES6
- Mastering Modular JavaScript
- Universal JavaScript, Modules Everywhere
- Testing JavaScript Modules
- Deploying Modern JavaScript Applications
Modular JavaScript is an open effort to improve our collective understanding of writing robust, well-tested, and modular applications.
Also, Stretch Goals have been announced, which if reached will result in screencasts explaining key aspects of Practical ES6, t-shirt designs, and screencasts explaining key aspects of every book in the series. Backers pledging $25 and above will get access to all the Broadcast 20K screencasts for free. The first book is estimated to be complete by March 2017.
The series will be published by O'Reilly Media. in digital and print formats.
